Are the Democrats really going to wrap themselves in the reflected glory of our troops this election? Do they think we'll buy it?
I think it is great that Vice President Biden's son served in Iraq. Good for him. And some limited glory is reflected on the father for raising a son willing to serve his country in uniform. And while I think that Romney erred in not mentioning the war in his convention speech, how dare the Democrats act like they are the party that supports our troops at war.
Good grief, every four years during a presidential election they find a few American flags and report for duty.
And in between they're torn between believing our troops are war criminals or just too dumb to make it in the civilian economy.
Remember, patriotism isn't the last refuge of a scoundrel--false patriotism is.
