The Chinese named their ex-Varyag carrier Liaoning, after one of their provinces.

For what that's worth.

It will carry up to 24 fighters and 26 helicopters.

While it will mostly be used as a training vessel while the Chinese build a few of their own carriers from the hull up, I'd have a use for it if I was in charge of the Chinese Navy.
