Ho hum:
North Korea threatened South Korea with "final destruction" during a debate at the United Nations Conference on Disarmament on Tuesday, saying it could take further steps after a nuclear test last week.
"As the saying goes, a new-born puppy knows no fear of a tiger. South Korea's erratic behavior would only herald its final destruction," North Korean diplomat Jon Yong Ryong told the meeting.
So what, right? This is just one of those things that we have to endure from North Korea in between the acts of Dead South Koreans Theater that the North presents every once in a while.
If we can ignore a threatening video against our people, why would we care about a threat to destroy South Korea?
Wait. What?
A new North Korean video portrays President Barack Obama and American troops in flames and says the North conducted its recent nuclear test because of U.S. hostility.
North Korea threatens our president personally? It's almost like they could be considered part of an axis of evil--if such a thing existed in a world of receding war, of course.
Don't forget that one of the many reasons we went to war against Iraq in 2003 was that Saddam's regime attempted to assassinate former President George H. W. Bush.
They do this to a man with a kill list?
President Obama never seems to think much of history pre-Obama. Now North Korea's threats count.
It is such a mystery to determine why much of the world would be worried about North Korea and even hostile toward them. Well, a mystery to people like Pat Buchanan and the North Koreans, anyway.
