Strategypage reviews the special effects that prop up the Iranian propaganda effort to look militarily strong.
In reality, Iran is quite weak. Keep that in mind when you hear about what Iran could do to us if we attack their nuclear infrastructure.
Remember, Saddam's Iraq defeated Iran in the 1980s. Sure, it was basically a stalemate. But I've always called it for Iraq on points.
I'm not even sure what Iran could do to "unleash" terrorism in retaliation.
Remember, too, that if Iran--which is militarily weak--lashes out ineffectively, a lot of countries will have an incentive to join us in military action to defeat that threat. Even countries that would barely interrupt their morning tea to listen to a story about Iran nuking Tel Aviv will send what they can to keep the Strait of Hormuz open for the oil that allowed them to boil the water for that tea.
Iran is bad enough when they are weak. How will they behave if they have a nuclear shield?
