Former Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha was presented with the Medal of Honor for his role in defending Combat Outpost Keating in fall 2009 in Afghanistan.
It was truly an epic defense that demonstrated that the jihadi taunt after 9/11 that we wouldn't dare face them in combat on the ground was a foolish wish on the part of the jihadis.
Will our soldiers in the future have the training and weapons to withstand such an assault?
Oh, right, we are simply choosing not to fight wars, anymore. I'm sure we won't need such courage and skill any more. We've got armed drones, after all.
Thank you Staff Sergeant Romesha. I'd salute you if I could.
UPDATE: "Enemy in the wire!"
