The Next War?

Michael Totten writes that destroying the jihadi sanctuary in northern Mali is our next war.

Yeah, I've pretty much been expecting this fight since February.

The biggest question is France's role. Will they bite the bullet and provide a Foreign Legion regiment to spearhead the counter-attack?

Or will we really hope we can get ECOWAS and Mali to do the job? That seems unlikely even if the Tuaregs turn on the jihadis to side with the counter-attacking forces.
