Some silly young thing disrupted Canada's parliament to urge an "Arab Spring" in Canada.
Arabs don't have meaningful elections (other than in Iraq, which isn't experiencing an Arab Spring uprising). Canadians do. Might not that non-trivial difference make Ms. DePape's call rather a stupid thing to say?
Didn't she learn anything at all during her time as a Senate page? Or is there such a thing as Harper Derangement Syndrome in Canada?
Of course, Ms. DePape is not alone and youth is no excuse if you go by many of the comments which seem to indicate that winning an election doesn't count if the "wrong party" wins. Which is what most Arabs now have for their election process, of course.
I think those people prattling on about a Canadian Spring to oppose Harper don't understand that they are the old guard trying to cling to power by any means necessary and not the brave democrats on the streets.
