The "Fiasco" That Did Not Bark

Via Instapundit comes this description of foreign policy crises that will complicate President Obama's reelection campaign:

Grave national-security and foreign-policy issues are crowding President Obama’s agenda as he struggles to repair the nation's economy.

With the 2012 election looming, Obama is juggling a decision on how many troops to withdraw from Afghanistan; a congressional resolution on the mission in Libya; and violence in Syria and Yemen.

And Iraq? Apparently, it is not one of the grave national security issues crowding the president's agenda, despite the president's spokesman noting that the administration inherited two wars. Clearly, one of the inheritances was pretty good.

Yes, the article later mentions Iraq and that we may be asked to stay longer (we should, with at least three combat brigades, special forces, and trainers and support personnel), but it is not part of the issues crowding the president's agenda.

Gosh, remember when all the left-wing experts on history and warfare assured us that we could not win in Iraq?
