Watch What You Say?

Apparently, dissent is not the highest form of patriotism. At least according to the president:

The White House cautioned lawmakers against signaling a wavering U.S. commitment as they pressed their concerns about Libya. "We believe that it's important for Congress not to send mixed messages about a goal that we think most members of Congress share," Obama spokesman Jay Carney said, referring to hopes for the success of the NATO-led mission.

Huh. So efforts to derail a war by Congress can hurt the military mission? And that's bad?

Why do my thoughts turn to Congress and the Iraq War in 2006 and 2007?

Ah well, before hope and change, I'm sure that mixed message stuff didn't apply.
