Working 9 to 5

I noted that NATO set up a home page for the Libya operation.

Fittingly, it takes the weekend off on updating news on the war. Yes, NATO takes the weekend off even at war. News stops on April 8th and picks up again today.

Not that NATO forces take the weekend off:

NATO stepped up attacks on Gaddafi's armor over the weekend, destroying 25 tanks around Misrata and Ajdabiyah after rebels accused them of acting too slowly.

I'll also note that the loyalists managed to get some tanks into the battle despite coalition air power.

Finally, the article notes African Union efforts to get a ceasefire. So far, Khaddafi has said he is willing to accept a ceasefire even as he attacks. I don't find that shocking. I would be shocked if Khaddafi agreed to a ceasefire before capturing Misrata, at least, and maybe Ajdabiya, too.
