Mister and Lamb enjoyed their last day of spring vacation yesterday. Mister and I enjoyed seeing the Red Wings finish the season against Chicago (sadly, Chicago made it into the playoffs anyway). Temperatures also spiked yesterday making it shirt sleeves all day. A hint of the glories of summer to come.
My backyard is still too waterlogged for outdoor play, but I took Lamb to the nearby park for some high-flying swing play. The day was a hit when a pair of ducks waddled through and we followed them through a path into a nearby semi-wetland, watching them drink, enter and leave puddles, and eat whatever they eat when people aren't feeding them stale bread.
And with school looming, Lamb finished a homework assignment (very similar to my blog post on our kite and landscaping day!) and we did the multiplication flash cards before I turned her loose to have fun.
So it was back to school today for them. Normally I'd take them to school today, but instead I'll pick them up. And as I finish my coffee and ponder whether to run today or take the day off with thunder storms threatening, I must also contemplate writing on a contest due in a couple months. Yet my task bar is already filled with windows for interesting stories in the krill flow of news out today.
