Why yes, as long as you asked, it is a crime against language clarity that the expression "liberal minded" is widely viewed as a synonym for "open minded."

I will never say that conservatives have any type of monopoly--or are even superior--on open mindedness, but the conceit that liberals are uniquely open minded is nonsense.
