Is Call of Duty like infantry combat?
Not really. Except for that fleeting instant when it all seems familiar.
And then there's that small matter of getting to start over if you die in Call of Duty. Ask the question again when you have a lifetime ban on playing any other FPS combat game if you die or are severely wounded in a video game. Game play would be a lot different in those circumstances, no?
First Person Shootee game isn't as appealing, I imagine.
Mind you, I have no first hand experience. I was a rear echelon type in a reserve force. Using military phones was a lot like cell phones, however! That I can attest to. Indeed, our phone (and radio) system was based on cell phone technology.
