Holy basic fail, Batman.
I've been frustrated that I couldn't get my wireless router to recognize my iPod. I've tried the password many times and it didn't work. I made sure caps lock was on when appropriate. It just didn't work.
It was annoying but not the biggest problem since when home my desk top or lap top are my platforms of choice. But still ...
So today I decided to Google the problem. I made it into a web site that involved finding my IP address on my computer. I've seen it before but followed their procedure to make sure. Going through the password stuff for this procedure didn't work in the end, although I made it through the first round of router security.
Then I read the comments. The second one said that the caps lock button goes off after you type in one letter. Hmm.
Well so it did.
So I retyped my password, hitting the caps lock every time I needed an upper case letter. It connected.
Amazing. Sometimes it is just the simplest, stupid thing that screws you up.
