I know that many people here--including some military leaders--keep talking about the "resurgent" Taliban in Afghanistan, but do these polling numbers indicate anything even close to that view of the war in Afghanistan?
Yes, some polling numbers are better since the surge began at the end of the Bush adminstration, but it was never bad.
Assuming the data can be trusted, we are and have been doing far better than the Taliban in winning hearts and minds--and convincing Afghans about who the strong horse is.
Just have patience.
