With the world's greatest debilitated body about to debate whether to censure our President in time of war for acting as the commander-in-chief to win that war, I do hope the President is putting maximum pressure on senators who have decided that they'd rather not support the war any more.
If war supporters can't stand up and shield the troops from this measure by fillibustering the measure to deny a vote, I don't know why they deserve to regain the majority. The only issue that matters to me at the national level is the war. If the one party that seemed serious about waging it joins the other side, why on Earth should they get the support of war supporters in two years?
I hope Hewitt's effort to pressure those who suddenly talk of withdrawal and limits to our warmaking capabilities bears fruit.
