The rest of our NATO allies think that fighting even in the "good war" is a bit too much to ask of them. Per Strategypage:
Claiming they are, "liberators not occupiers," Germany, France, Italy and Spain have dug in their heels and affirmed their refusal to allow their peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan to fight the Taliban.
Talk about confusion.
Listen up, ya chowderheads. Fighting to keep freed people from becoming subjects of the thug Taliban is called "liberating" Afghans.
Sitting in a base in Afghanistan while doing nothing other than sipping chai tea or whatever they do, is "occupying" territory. And not occupying it very productively, I might add.
Indeed, just sitting there, they are a burden on the logistical system that must feed and house them.
Thanks a bunch, allies. Thank goodness this is the "good war."
