The media is upset that there is resistance to their narrative of a Lego-set Insurrection on January 6, 2021. Don't buy the media propaganda.
So, the rewriting of the January 6th riot is being done by the right?
Capitol rally seeks to rewrite Jan. 6 by exalting rioters[.]
Calling January 6th an "insurrection" is the brazen rewriting of events. It was an event that was a perfectly legitimate mass protest marred by a brief but disgusting cross between trespassing and rioting by a small fraction of the protesters.
The "deadly" nature consisted of one woman trying to enter the Capitol Building shot and killed by a police officer under questionable circumstances.
Democrats and their
media allies would have you believe that this is the first insurrection
carried out without a single firearm--by people who actually own lots of
firearms. And let's leave aside the question of whether Biden is right to say you need nukes and fighter planes to overthrow the American government.
And nobody involved with the riot has been charged with any crime remotely related to an insurrection.
The January 6th riot didn't compare to the summer of
love violence across American cities by BLM and
Antifa. A summer that lasted through the fall and continues this year at
lower levels and more geographically contained. Violence the Democrats and media denied was happening night after night, week after week, and month after month.
Heck, January 6th
doesn't even compare to the leftist riots at Trump's inauguration in January
2017! An event with approving news coverage and minor penalties for participants. How's that for brazen whitewashing?
Honestly, just how was this 1/6 "insurrection" supposed to work?
Who actually believes this is how you take over a government? Did the "insurrection" fabulists not see how the Taliban did it?
The rally rejecting the media/Democratic narrative may go too far in the opposite direction. I would not exalt those who stormed the Capitol Building. But let's wait and see if the media projection of what the rally will claim is what happens.
Nonetheless, the rally is a needed correction to the ridiculous insurrection fantasy peddled by Democrats and the media.
UPDATE: This article calls the protest organizers "far right", but I see no evidence of it other than an assumption that if you are defending people still being held for non-insurrection 1/6 charges you must be a dangerous right winger. I'm tentatively calling BS on that.
UPDATE: But the rally doesn't seem to be organized by MAGA people. Even Trump is suspicious of it. So what's up? I really don't know.
UPDATE: I don't know if the rally is really far right--or if anyone will show up--but the framing of the events of January 6th is insane:
The organizer of Saturday’s rally, aimed at recasting Jan. 6 as something other than the violent insurrection it was, immediately appears as an unlikely messenger for the Republican far-right.
Violent insurrection? Are these reporters delusional?
UPDATE: Well, I guess nothing much happened at the event.
UPDATE: "Insurrection 2.0" didn't work out as the Democrats and their media flying monkeys hoped. Indeed: "Police, many in riot gear, outnumbered rallygoers, according to AP." And that's just the uniformed police.
