Prisoners transferred to Europe would be those determined to pose no threat but who cannot be sent back to their homelands because of the risk of persecution.
Wait a second. You mean sending the prisoners to some countries would be a threat to the prisoners? I mean, isn't Gitmo supposed to be some sort of gulag? Doesn't the international human rights lobby say we torture and abuse the prisoners?
Shouldn't the prisoners be eager to go home with their own loving and nurturing countrymen in charge of their health, welfare, and electrode-free genitalia? It's almost as if the Guantanamo Bay detention facility is a model prison where very dangerous terrorists are held by American guards who face far worse from the prisoners than the prisoners ever face.
