An American fighter jet shot down an Iranian drone as it was flying over Iraq, U.S. military sources in Baghdad tell Danger Room.
Details of the previously-unreported shoot-down, which occurred last month, are still sketchy.
Interesting. Apparently, Iran doesn't have a network of spies inside Iraq sufficient to provide the mullahs with all they need to know about internal Iraqi events. Why else send spy drones over Iraq? Spy drones that can be shot down and identified.
Or perhaps those in Iran who have spies inside Iraq aren't sharing information with the people who have access to drones. Perhaps the spy network in Iraq is so depleted that the groups with the spies are not eager to risk compromising remaining assets to share with potential leakers?
Like I said, interesting. This certainly isn't an action you'd take with a puppet regime as so many of our liberal side of the aisle believes Iraq is to Iran.
