Spare Me Their "Smart Diplomacy"

Seriously, stop this "falling into their trap" by fighting back nonsense that the left peddles.

One of Obama's Smart Diplomacy crowd says Trump is falling into Iran's "trap" by opposing them, and the Baghdad embassy clash is a sign of that failure.

Wow, wait until she hears about Benghazi on September 11, 2012! I'm sure that wasn't a sign of failure.

These people on the left always think fighting back is falling into a trap. Although it is shocking that these people think of them as an "enemy." How judgmental.

Remember that the same "trap" argument was made about al Qaeda and ISIL. Best and brightest, indeed.

This framing is related to the "fighting back just creates more jihadis" BS.

And speaking of that, our friends the French (tip to Instapundit) through Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian:

The French Minister of State for Europe and Foreign affairs said this morning [after American forces killed the Iranian terrorist Soleimani], “Today we wake up to a more dangerous world.”

You know nothing, Jean Slow:

I wish the French had been that clear about their theory a long time ago. Did they believe that resisting Germans just makes more German threats before we went to war with Germany twice in two world wars to help France (and illegally shipped arms to them before that in the Franco-Prussian War)?

I say kill those lunatic jihadis--whether Sunni or Shia--wherever we find them and stop worrying about whether their deserved deaths are a "trap."

Oh, the author linked first led our Iran nuclear deal negotiations. Naturally. I wouldn't trust her and her comrades to tell me how "Iran" is spelled. The 2015 JCPOA (Iran deal) was a garbage deal that deserved to be dumped. Smart Diplomacy, indeed. What they consider success is scary (see the update).

UPDATE: I don't want to hear another word about how our actions cause their murderous hate:

US and Israeli flags were set alight in Iran's capital Saturday as thousands mourned the loss of top military commander Qasem Soleimani, a day after he was killed by American forces.

So American forces killed the thug terrorist and Iranians also rage against Israel which had nothing to do with the attack?

And even if Israel was involved, where is the sacred proportionality of this promised response?

"Our response will definitely be beyond launching some missiles or destroying some American bases," said Milad Najafi, one of the mourners.

"In fact, I think our revenge will be the annihilation of Israel," the student told AFP.

The mullahs are our enemy and we should treat them as such.
