Poisoning the Well

Would President Obama be having such a hard time persuading people here and abroad that attacking a Baathist, WMD-using Syrian dictator is the best option if Democrats hadn't spent the last 9 years twisting the facts by arguing that Bush lied us into an unnecessary war against a far worse Baathist, WMD-using Iraqi dictator based on the consensus of the leading intelligence agencies?
