I'm not sure we should be more embarrassed by today's performance than Notre Dame should be embarrassed for turning in a worse performance than Akron.
UPDATE: It all started out as a perfect fall day for a beat down on a lesser team.
I'm never one to take any opponent less than seriously. So I didn't assume a huge victory.
But winning by 4 points by needing to stop Akron's last play for the end zone from within the 5-yard line is not how I would have imagined the game going when I snapped this picture prior to the game start.
