The tide of war receded into Nairobi:
Gunmen stormed a shopping mall in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Saturday, killing at least 39 people including close relatives of Kenya's president and children, in an attack claimed by the Somali Islamist group al Shabaab.
Shooting continued hours after the initial assault as troops surrounded the Westgate mall and police and soldiers combed the building, hunting the attackers shop by shop. A police officer inside the building said the gunmen were barricaded inside a Nakumatt supermarket, one of Kenya's biggest chains.
I do hope we help the Kenyans hunt down jihadis in the region. Not to strike back at those who launched this attack--but to simply hunt down jihadis on the working assumption that the only good jihadi is a dead jihadi.
Kenyans are no strangers to the war. They fight jihadis in Somalia and suffered greatly when al Qaeda struck our embassy there in 1998.
UPDATE: Jihadis are still holding out in the mall:
Police said the attackers were holding an unknown number of people on Sunday and the standoff was focused on the mall's Nakumatt supermarket, one of Kenya's biggest chains.
Our Secretary of State promised to help.
Kill all the jihadis in the mall.
Kill all the jihadis who sent the jihadis to the mall.
Then kill the rest of the jihadis.
UPDATE: Israel appears to be involved:
Israeli security source says Israeli advisors helping in formulation of strategy to end terrorists' siege; Kenyan security source tells AFP Israeli special forces entered mall and are 'rescuing hostages'
The tide of war is not receding. Until Moslem society can reduce the appeal of jihad by delegitimizing the appeal of Islamism, we need to kill the jihadis who think slaughtering civilians is their path to paradise.
UPDATE: President Obama promised help for what he did not hesitate to call a terrorist attack.
