The Forgotten Front

It is easy to forget that in the early months following 9/11, a minor front was in the Philippines. We succeeded in helping the Philippines government defeat al Qaeda groups there, and I imagine most people have forgotten about that war on terror victory in that theater.

This casualty notice of two special forces troops from the 1st Special Forces Group reminds us that killing jihadis takes place in a lot of places that jihadis seek sanctuary.
