Never mind!
President Obama’s national security team is moving to reframe its war strategy by
emphasizing the campaign against Al Qaeda in Pakistan while arguing that the Taliban in Afghanistan do not pose a direct threat to the United States, officials said Wednesday.
And since there aren't more than 100 al Qaeda in Afghanistan, as the article notes, I guess the constant harping from the anti-war side that we were distracted by Iraq from winning in Afghansitan is non-operative. After all, the Taliban are not a threat to us and we've pretty much kept al Qaeda out of Afghanistan!
Or are the anti-war side types going to insist that failing to focus on a non-threatening Taliban and a hundred al Qaeda types roaming Afghanistan constitutes "taking our eye off the ball?"
