Scott Ott writes that the Democrats vow to fight on after the loss of Zarqawi.
Why the Left would want to minimize the death of Zarqawi by saying others will replace him is a mystery to me. Given their multi-cultural baggage and religion-of-peace mantra, wouldn't their world view be better served by claiming this unique demented individual was by no ways representative of Islam?
Instead, the Left says there are lots of Zarqawi replacements waiting in the wings. No doubt drawn from a broad strata of society.
But at least we now know how the Left will react when we get Osama one day. After berating us for failing to get him, they'll just say he is nobody and somebody else will replace him anyway.
Ott also writes:
In what may be a major breakthrough in stalled talks over Iran’s uranium nrichment program, the United States has reportedly offered to give long-range nuclear weapons to the Islamic Republic in exchange for assurances that it will soon stop production of nuclear material.
I mentioned this possibility a while back. Though in my optimism I assumed the Europeans would make the offer!
The eagerness by some to lose no matter what is just astounding.
