Ike's D-Day Message

Before our stroll on a French beach with our British and Canadian allies back in 1944 on this day, General Eisenhower bid our forces well on the first step to conquering Germany.

Despite what we faced, we went on to victory. That's what you should do when you go to war. Not look for exit strategies before you hit the beach.

Still, it loses some of its stirring quality to read of the "United Nations" inflicting defeats on our enemies.
