You have to love the martial imagery the Obama campaign slapped together for their convention. But rather than being a slam dunk of defense credentialing, there was a problem:
While retired Adm. John Nathman, a former commander of Fleet Forces Command, honored vets as America’s best, the ships from the Russian Federation Navy were arrayed like sentinels on the big screen above.
These were the very Soviet-era combatants that Nathman and Cold Warriors like him had once squared off against.
“The ships are definitely Russian,” said noted naval author Norman Polmar after reviewing hi-resolution photos from the event. “There’s no question of that in my mind.”
Putin can be forgiven for believing anyone but President Obama would be less in Russia's interest, under the circumstances.
It's painfully obvious that Democrats "report for duty" only once every four years.
I've know Democrats and liberals my entire life. I like many of them. Fine people, and all.
But I wouldn't trust them with our national defense for any reason in the world.
