The chemical weapons deal with Syria has not actually prevented Syria from getting chemical weapons. So it is similar to the Iran nuclear deal.

The deal was a farce that failed even on the farcical terms the Obama administration set for it. Lavrov probably couldn't believe his luck that he faced off against the clearly inept dandy Kerry.
As Biden prepares to restore the horrible Iran nuclear deal, will he also try to fix the Syria chemical weapons deal?
I just thank God Kerry is not returning to the State Department.
