A British hobbyist landing a drone on the new British carrier Queen Elizabeth was a lark; but this close encounter between an American fighter landing on the American carrier Nimitz and an Iranian drone was not.
I submit that swarms of drones could be a major threat to aircraft taking off (or landing, too) when they are low and slow and so most vulnerable.
Of course, carriers not in port or stupidly in the freaking Persian Gulf where they are close to the shore wouldn't have that vulnerability.
Silly me, I figured the drone swarm threat to planes would be at land air bases only.
