Well, Duh

Iran's mullahs think this is newsworthy?

Iran's supreme leader on Thursday warned Israel and the United States that Tehran's response will be tough should its archenemies choose a military strike against Iran over the country's controversial nuclear program.

"Anybody who takes up the idea of an attack on Iran, should get ready to receive a strong slap and an iron fist" by the Iranian armed forces, said Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

One, Iran's armed forces are fairly pathetic. Iran's threats rely on terrorism at the low end and--one day--nuclear weapons at the high end. Backed by religious fanaticism, of course.

And two, we are well aware that even with the first factor taken into consideration, Iran's relatively feeble armed forces could wreak havoc in their own neighborhood, which unfortunately includes some areas pretty crucial to the world.

Which is why any strike against Iran's nuclear infrastructure would have to be part of a lengthy campaign against Iran's military power and command structure.
