Every massive blizzard begins with the first pretty snow flakes.
It has begun.
I thought about going out and stocking up on corn chips and cheese dip before I hunker down for the next 36 hours or so.
But what the heck, I'll rough it with my existing beer supply and pretzels. As long as power and Netflix hold, I'm good.
UPDATE: Netflix through the Wii unavailable! Had to watch Die Hard II on my computer--just realized I never actually saw the whole thing. Adventure in the snow.
And kids safe inside with their mom. So unless there is a problem there that forces me to make a cross-town trek tomorrow, I'm good to go to watch the snow for the next 24 hours from the comfort of my home.
Still, with all the warning of blizzard and the looming threat of power loss that supposedly threatens us, the forecast is for 7-12 inches of snow around here. Hopefully, the weather forecasters are just getting a tad over-excited about their first big storm of the winter around here. The low end would be nothing to get worked up over.
If power fails, I guess I'll have to see if I can light the gas fireplace and haul out a sleeping bag.
I wonder if anyone is drunkblogging the snow?
UPDATE: Nothing to write home about. Six inches fell, it seems. Power didn't drop. It just looks pretty outside.
