I've not jumped on the blame Obama bandwagon over the Gulf of Mexico oil leak. One, this is a foreign policy and military blog. And two, I thought it was completely unfair that Bush was maligned so much for the Katrina hurricane response.
But I'm not alone in having just a little bit of satisfaction that President Obama is reaping what he sowed after hammering Bush as an idiot and incompetent for so-called failures in the Katrina response and other alleged shortcomings.
Our presidents, whether they surround themselves with Greek columns or not, are not gods who control our tides, or economy, the weather, or even oil accidents. Sometimes, stuff happens.
And sometimes the stuff that happens is partly your own making because you've raised expectations of what government should do.
