A popular Hawaiian recording artist turned a top-security dinner of Pacific Rim leaders hosted by President Barack Obama into a subtle protest with a song in support of the "Occupy" movement. ...
"I was pretty nervous. In fact I was terrified. I kept thinking 'what are the consequences going to be?'" Makana, 33, told AFP.
He was terrified? He wondered what the consequences would be?
Seriously? Does he really think he will be disappeared for this disrespectful protest moment? President Obama is hosting Pacific leaders and Makana turns it into protest theater, as if he has no other way to make his opinion known in a free country bound by democratic rules and freedom of expression?
I half hope he hears the soft whine of a drone tracking him as he drives home. Now that would be consequences, eh?
