The Bund Finds a Dead Guy

Germany's post-Cold War major malfunction defies all NATO efforts to repair as Germany keeps resurrecting the dead Hitler in their past to avoid defending the West.

Russia should have chosen Germany instead of Ukraine as its invasion target

Germany’s Defence Minister has ruled out sending any further weapons or equipment to Ukraine, admitting that the Bundeswehr will already not be able to replenish its stocks by 2030.

Blighted by chronic underinvestment since the end of the Cold War, the German army is now in even worse shape after having sent equipment, ammunition and vehicles like the Leopard 2 main battle tank to the battlefields of Ukraine.

“To put it bluntly, like other nations, we have a limited inventory,” said Boris Pistorius.

An entire nation counting on its large "GUN-FREE ZONE" sign to protect it.

I'm pretty sure a Russian FSB/GRU, Spetsnaz, amphibious, and airborne invasion aimed at Berlin would have worked even if the plan was patterned on Russia's February 2022 failed assault on Kiev.

Seriously, can you imagine how the Germans would have curled into a guilt-ridden fetal position when Russia's propaganda claimed it needed to de-Nazify Germany?

And demilitarization is pre-accomplished.

Game over, man! Game over!

FFS. Germany needs to quit using France as their totally-not-Hitler-moustache to launder their 20th century past and justify having a military:

Germany can't break away from its desire to dilute its past within the EU ratification of the morality of Germany's military. Its brief spasm of defense resolve after Russia invaded Ukraine has faded.

Germany has required constant pressure from its allies to do more to help Ukraine and to contribute to NATO common defense. So Germany turns to France again to "de-Nazify" German military power.

How hard of a whack from the clue bat does Germany need?

It would be nice if the Germans could display a little bit of that nuance I'm assured Europeans naturally have. Could Germany find a nice median between trying to brutally conquer Europe and self-destructive supine pacifism?

The Russians have to be totally flummoxed about how badly they screwed the pooch on target selection.

Trump's supposed abandonment of Europe didn't get Germany to step up. Russia's invasion of Ukraine didn't get Germany to do more than momentarily vow to step up.

I truly have no idea what Germany is thinking these days.
