As a reason against getting out of the European Union while they can, this is folly:

That is bass ackwards. Britain has the luxury of retreating behind its island shores when the continent's historically nasty habit of going wrong happens.
The battle of the European Union is over. Let the battle of Britain begin. The British way of life depends upon it.
