Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! With Festering Boils, Die!

I am no fan of the European Union proto-dictatorship project. I think it will be a disaster for the United States and lead to the loss of democracy in Europe. Europe will become a Soviet Union Lite that will be neutral at best, selling arms to our enemies; or hostile, ending a century of our policy that has prevented an opponent from organizing the continent's resources against us.

So this article that shows that the EU constitution may fail in France itself is very heartening:

The conservative-leaning prime minister, Jean-Pierre Raffarin, has ordered his cabinet to embark on a campaign to extol the virtues of the treaty after opinion polls suggested that the No campaign had the support of 55 per cent of voters.

And the advertising designed to persuade the French to vote yes may have a bad effect on British and Dutch voters who are, I believe, up next:

Yet the promise, grandly made by politicians last week, that the constitution will pave the way for a "Europe à la Française", is exactly the kind of vision that will be evoked in Britain to try to persuade voters to throw out the document.

I don't really mean the festering boils part.

But I do want the EU to die. Come on France, pull the plug and go on a long vacation!
