A Little Ointment Will Clear That Up

Post occupations, the Occupy Wall Street movement's effects are being assessd by the press, as the article headline states:

"Now what? Few tangible effects of Wall St protests"

Few tangible effects? Well, other than that persistent itchy rash, of course.

UPDATE: What? You think I'm kidding? Refugees from natural disasters and war seem to manage their camps better than these refugees from reality.

UPDATE: Huh. What's next is more disruption. Who'd have expected that?

I would like to translate this bit of social science:

Meantime, a recent survey of OWS members by Hector R. Cordero-Guzman, Ph.D, of the School of Public Affairs at New York's Baruch College, sheds new light on who they are: Young (64.2 percent are under 34), well educated, white (81.3 percent) and male (67 percent). Only half are employed full-time. Over 70 percent say they are independents politically, 27 percent are Democrats, 2.5 percent are Republicans.

About the political breakdown. I can't believe that a Ph.D. just let "independent politically" stand as a category. In reality, over 70% are anarchists and communists. 27 percent are socialists. And 2.5 percent have a sense of humor.

The percent with lice is unknown.
