Coalition of the Worried

When Iraq invaded Iran in 1980, Iraq tried to make the war an Arab versus Persian thing but the rest of the Arab world passed on that offer--other than financial and moral support. So Iraq was all by their lonesome except for a bunch of Soviet advisors that went in to bolster the army after some early debacles that raised the question of whether Iraq's army could hold off the Iranians (and if memory serves me, French and Indian advisors for the air force. But I could be wrong here).

So this news (via Instapundit) that Britain and Saudi Arabia are slamming Iran for interfering in Iraq is pretty good news. We need the Brits on their toes in Basra and the south to guard that region to protect our Kuwait-based rear echelon forces. And Saudi support could bring on the Gulf Arabs and others in the Arab world to prevent Iran from going nuclear. Shia Persians with the bomb and interfering in Iraq can't be something the Sunni Arab world could look forward to seeing happen. And they know that only America can stop the Iranians for good.

Is this another example of the events taking place in plain sight that indicate regime change is coming in Iran soon?
