[Canadian] Brig.-Gen. David Fraser is taking 2,200 [Canadian] troops into the perilous south of Afghanistan later this month. He says they are well-trained and equipped and are ready to hunt down insurgents and Taliban holdouts if necessary. He says the Canadians will work closely with the Afghan army to provide security in the region.
A proud military tradition is not dead. The Taliban will learn the hard way that they are up against a tough bunch.
Good hunting. And please, Ottawa, worry more about how to fight this war than tracking down American submarines in Arctic waters. Show some priorities.
