Ukraine on Monday began a series of large-scale air force exercises with the United States and other NATO countries, the defence ministry said.
The "Clear Sky 2018" war games, which will run until October 19, are being held in western Ukraine.
American F-15C fighters are taking part.
Ukrainian aircraft are heavily outnumbered and likely outclassed by the Russians. Sure, the Ukrainian fighters can use all the help they can get.
But isn't this exercise really more useful for NATO aircraft to familiarize themselves with Ukrainian air space and air bases?
