Undignified Rant

If you've ever wanted an illustration of the concept, "he may be a son of a bitch, but he's our son of a bitch," look no farther than the saga of one Professor Erik Loomis, "The Ranting Professor."

I'm certainly not going to urge the firing of this man or denying him tenure. If a school is really in need of dildo scholarship, what the heck. Mockery seems the more appropriate punishment for both the individual and the institution involved. Who am I to belittle the study of lumberjack sex?

But do stop using the "civility" bat on conservatives to silence that side of the debate over whatever is dear to the liberal side.

Backing this guy to the hilt is nothing but tribal politics. Doing so may be historical in nature, but it is no less distasteful.
