It doesn't matter that the science says banning soft drinks larger than 16 ounces won't work (tip to Instapundit).

What matters is that some people get to coerce other people who just aren't their kind of people.

Some people just don't like the idea that other people with free choice don't usually choose what some people would have them choose.
