The sainted international community continues to refuse to take official notice of Syria's bloody suppression of dissent. The omission is all the more blatant in contrast to the UN's quick action to protect Libyans revolting against the Khaddafi regime.
Why are Western nations refusing to even bring up the issue in the Security Council? Because we think Russia or China will veto any resolution.
Which of course, begs the question of "so what?"
Let the Russians or Chinese actually use their veto if they dare. Why let the Russians and Chinese get the benefit of their veto without paying the price for using the veto?
Besides, the Russians and Chinese can't veto the debate that will follow the introduction of a resolution in support of Syria's protesters.
