Widespread discussions are under way to bring the Libyan crisis to an end and "emissaries" say Muammar Gaddafi is ready to leave power, France's Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said Tuesday.
"Everybody is in contact with everybody. The Libyan regime is sending messengers everywhere, to Turkey, New York, Paris. Juppe said on France Info state radio. "Emissaries are telling us Gaddafi is ready to go, let's talk about it," Juppe said.
I'm still not sure if France is looking for a face-saving measure to stop the war that isn't ending as fast as they assumed with the appearance of victory, at least; or if Khaddafi is looking for a safe exit visa because he isn't sure NATO will run out of steam before Khaddafi runs out of luck avoiding smart bombs.
