Demoting Pakistan

Indian defense doctrine is graduating from worrying about Pakistan's conventional threat to worrying about China's power as the main mission:

Essentially, the changes are aimed at strengthening the Army’s capacity for fighting what one serving general has described as a war on ‘two and a half fronts’—a reference to possible simultaneous confrontations with Pakistan and China at the same time as managing an internal counter-insurgency effort.

While the shift in focus is welcome, I think it is too army-centric. And I'm army-centric. So when I say that, I'm probably on to something. Here's my take on India's overall position and how their military can be used against threats.
