Silver Lining

Even as we track down wannabe jihadis here in America who want to strike a blow for Islam, remember that the vast majority of American Moslems want nothing to do with this jihadi thinking and are willing to help our authorities stop the Islamists from striking, as a recent Maryland case demonstrates:

The heartening aspect of the story is that Martinez appears to have appealed to a number of area Muslims to join in his plot. They uniformly turned him down, telling him his actions were wrong and would profoundly harm Muslims. At least some of these people appear to have contacted the FBI to report the goings on.

We are at war with some Moslems, without a doubt. But we fight alongside other Moslems to defeat the violent Moslems.

Failure to energetically fight the jihadis effectively abandons the reasonable Moslems who reject jihad. Don't doubt that, either.
