No More Mister Nice Guy?

I hoped that Pakistan would focus on wiping out the jihadis in the frontier areas given that these thugs were given as the reason for martial law. Up to now it seemed like Musharraf was focusing on domestic opponents.

If Pakistan was not only failing to put down the tribal jihadis but also give the jihadis more support in the rest of the country, this could be the worst of both worlds.

So this is encouraging (tip to Instapundit). The post says that the Pakistanis are about to, in the next few days, begin a major offensive in the tribal areas. And our forces in Afghanistan could be the anvil against which the Pakistani hammer falls, crushing the jihadis that try to flee.

Could Pakistan be the last jihad, after all?
