No rest. Dropped a lot today.
Clean up in afternoon at barracks.
Finally a shower. No rest.
No phones. Good mood despite
prospect of Day 1 continuation.
No more marching. No more
weapons training. PT and EOCT.
Truly down hill. Still no passes
or easy life as we keep getting
told we'll have.
Back from the field, we had to clean a lot despite being a Sunday. I'm not sure why the drills were dropping us (to do push ups) enough to be mentioned. As I've mentioned, 1st platoon just absorbed them all as a group. But I was in a good mood. Maybe finishing the field exercise seemed like a mission accomplished. We had our PT test and task test (end of cycle test) to complete.
Apparently we would no longer march everywhere in company formation.
Just a reminder that basic training isn't 2+ months of just being screamed at and dogged from pre-dawn to nightfall. We got that, of course. But it was not constant and it didn't last the entire period of training.
Yet we weren't allowed to kick back yet.
Oh well, at least it was all down hill at this point.
